Hints & Tips

This months tip:
If your fuel injected motorcycle is starting to stall or even run poorly at cruising speed or above by popping or sputtering, it could be time to replace your fuel lines inside of the tank. If you suspect this, simply unscrew the gas cap with the fuel level low (not full), cycle the fuel pump and listen for any "squirting" inside the tank. A flashlight may be helpful for a visual confirmation of this. The plastic hoses can get pin holes and cracks, causing a loss in fuel pressure. You may not always hear it depending upon the location of the pin hole or crack, but most of the time this can be very helpful. If you do hear the noise, to verify simply go to your local shop and have them run a fuel pressure check. Hope this helps, good luck.
